Reflection: I laid out Annie’s page because it was such a fun idea and it would’ve been interesting for readers and hold their attention.
InDesign Page #3
Reflection: Although this is not my page, as Editor, it is my job to sometimes assist with the layout of my staff’s pages. Allie was a senior and I wanted to lighten the load during her last few days.
InDesign Page #2
Reflection: This is the story that goes with the cover page. I included more pictures and I was glad that the story was long in order to give a clear idea of what took place.
InDesign Page #1
Reflection: This is the cover of our second issue and although it is not printed I was excited that this story was chosen for the cover because the event was such a big deal to participate in.
Design Page Draft #2
Reflection: I took the last page draft, and added a second story to fill dead space and make the page more interesting. I’m definitely happier with how this page came out. It has a more professional layout and look, and I can see it placed quite well in an actual newspaper.
Design Page Draft #1
Reflection: This is one of my drafts of a design page for the newspaper. I was new to InDesign this year so it’s a little rough in structure. We do plan on printing an actual paper or two this year so as a staff, we’ll all need to get Indesign down to a science.
